Afabet sub-zone: progress registered in enhancing educational service

As part of investment made to enhance educational service, competence of teachers and raise student participation in Afabet sub-zone, the number of schools increased by 50% and the participation of students by 26%, according to reports. Afabet, 14 February 2012 –  As part of investment made to enhance educational service, competence of teachers and raise student participation in Afabet sub-zone, the number of schools increased by 50% and the participation of students by 26%, according to reports.

The head of the Education Ministry’s branch office in the sub-zone, Mr. Musa Adem, indicated that efforts made to raise the participation of students in education in places where nomadic lifestyle persists has now registered satisfactory outcome.

He further explained that in the past two years six schools have been transformed into secondary level, along with efforts made to upgrade the competence of teachers.

Mr. Musa commended the participation of the general public in implementing the plan drawn up, and pointed out that schools for the nomadic inhabitants of the sub-zone have made significant headway.
