Youths in Keren sub-zone reaffirm determination to strengthen activities through exchanging experiences
Youth workers in Keren sub-zone in the 3rd Congress they held in Keren town reaffirmed that they would strengthen their activities through exchanging experience among themselves.
Keren, 15 February 2012 – Youth workers in Keren sub-zone in the 3rd Congress they held in Keren town reaffirmed that they would strengthen their activities through exchanging experience among themselves.
They indicated that they would work hard towards the success of the ongoing development and construction programs and preserving the societal culture and values.
Mr. Zerisenai Tesfai, head of the NUEYS branch in Anseba region, indicated that the youth are the ones that could turn challenges to opportunities with increased awareness, and reminded them to reinforce their creativity and capacity through reading.
The participants of the Congress called on the youth to identify their profession and preference and practice self-initiative. They also elected an 11 member executive that would serve for two years.
Mr. Tekie Keleta, Administrator of Keren town, said that since the youth are both the dynamo of the society and part of it they need special attention. He also underscored that the nurturing of the youth is not something to be left to NUEYS, but requires integrated participation of all government and the society at large.
