New health center inaugurate in Adi Felesti

A new health center in Adi Felesti, Debarwa sub-zone, built at four million Nakfa has been inaugurated and is ready for rendering service.

Debarwa, 20 February 2012 – A new health center in Adi Felesti, Debarwa sub-zone, built at four million Nakfa has been inaugurated and is ready for rendering service.

Eng. Kalid Saleh, head of engineering services and projects in the Southern region, indicated that the health center which was build 18 years ago was not providing proper service for the building was damaged and that a new one has been built so that it provide proper health services.

He further explained that the new building incorporates pharmacy, delivery room, OPD, bedroom, residential houses and water container.

Mr. Fitsum Yemane, Assistant Nurse in Adi Felesti, equally said that with the new health center 10,500 citizens in the area are expected to get health services and called for the inclusion of an ambulance and laboratory service.

Ms. Haddas Tesfamichael, resident of Adi Felesti on her part, expressed expectation for an end of the problem during pregnancy and delivery that used to recurrent because of the lack of health facility.

Soeaking on the occasion, Ms. Amna Nurhusein, Health Minister, said that continuous efforts would be made to further develop the health center and reminded beneficiaries that its is their responsibility to make proper use of the center and maintain it.

Adi Felesti health center is expected to provide health services to inhabitants of Guila, Adi-Nahbai, Mai Dima, Ziban-Segin and Mai-Albo.
