Shambuko regional court rendering commendable service: Residents

Shambuko regional court is rendering commendable service to the inhabitants of the sub-zones of Shambuko and Molqi, according to inhabitants. Shambuko, 23 February 2012- Shambuko regional court is rendering commendable service to the inhabitants of the sub-zones of Shambuko and Molqi, according to inhabitants.

They further said that before the opening of the court they had to go to Barentu to follow court cases and that the problem has now been solved.Mr. Sirak Hadera, judge at Shambuko court, explained that last year the court legally closed 233 civil and 78 criminal cases and that 279 criminal and 33 civil cases are still pending.

He further explained that cases under their jurisdiction like spouse, inheritance, change of names and age have been transferred to the jurisdiction of community magistrates and that the move has reduced their work load.

Mr. Abrahalei Andebirhan, attorney of Shambuko sub-zone, on his part stated that cases from the police in Shambuko and Molqi are investigated and submitted to the court and this has enabled the local inhabitants save time and expenditure besides leading stable life.
