Halhal-Asmat road repair through community campaign

The 10 km Halhal-Asmat road that was damaged due to erosion has been repaired by the inhabitants of Administrative areas of Hawesh, Asmat and Shegali. Asmat, 24 February 2012 – The 10 km Halhal-Asmat road that was damaged due to erosion has been repaired by the inhabitants of Administrative areas of Hawesh, Asmat and Shegali.

They indicated that the road which passes through rugged terrain has been difficult for vehicles because every year it is damaged due to erosion and repaired by the inhabitants who called for a lasting solution.

Mr. Osman Jemi’e noting the importance of road transportation in the economic and social life of the population commended the participation of the inhabitants of the three Administrative areas in the repair the road.

The participants on their part said that the campaign they conduct is for their benefit.
