In accordance with the Proclamation, the cases of birthday and death certificate, marriage certificate, as well as change in the date of certificate and place of issuance would hence forth been decided by Administrative areas, zones and sub-zones. Moreover, its main objective is to enable the people obtain administration of justice in their respective places of habitation.
The acting president of the Eritrean High Court, Mr. Menkorios Beraki, pointed out that the Proclamation would facilitate giving correct decision, in addition to satisfying the right of individuals for appeal.
The head of the coordination office of courts in the Southern region, Mr. Gebremichael Tesfamichael indicated on his part that the Proclamation empowers community magistrates to handle cases of rental houses.
The participants of the meeting called on the Ministry of Justice to provide the necessary training courses and facilities so as to ensure the effective realization of the objectives of the new Proclamation.
