Elabered, 25 February 2012 – The inhabitants of Eden semi-urban center, Elabered sub-zone, expressed satisfaction with the provision of potable water supply through government expenditure.
They told ERINA that before the implementation of the project they were compelled to travel long distance to fetch unclean water, but now the problem is no more.
Among the inhabitants, Ms. Letekidan Gebregziabher, Ms. Workha Gebrai and Ms. Tsega Mehari, said that with the provision of potable water, the public in general and women in particular felt deep satisfaction.
Mr. Alazar Goitom, project coordinator, indicated that last year water pumps were installed in more than 200 households and called on beneficiaries to make judicious utilization of the facility.
The Administration of the semi-urban center explained that the water project comprises three feeder wells and 19 distribution points, and that at present 400 customers are beneficiaries.
