Farmers of Golij say that their cattle are in good condition

Farmers in Golij said that with the intervention of the Agriculture Ministry in vaccination and other health services their cattle are in good condition. They indicated that their cattle get vaccination twice a year and that they are free from any diseases.

Golij, 28 February, 2012- Farmers in Golij said that with the intervention of the Agriculture Ministry in vaccination and other health services their cattle are in good condition. They indicated that their cattle get vaccination twice a year and that they are free from any diseases.

The farmers also indicated that the dams built in every administrative area and the reserved grazing lands have contributed to the permanent supply of water for their cattle and that the Bademit Dam has created conducive condition for domestic and wild animals.

Mr. Ramadan Ali, one of the local inhabitants, said that the construction of the dam at Aiterif that holds 30 thousand cubic meters of water has alleviated their problem.

Similarly, Mr. Saleh Haji indicated that there are veterinarian doctors in every administrative are that follow up the health of cattle, and called on farmers to make maximum use of the service.

Likewise, Mr. Osman Umer, recalling the long distance they had to travel to get water for their cattle stated that with the construction of the Bademit Dam their cattle are getting water not far from the villages.

The farmers further stated that they and their cattle have been relieved from exhaustion and disease following the implementation of development programs in their areas and that even the number of wild animals is increasing.
