In a speech he delivered, Mr. Ali Nur Ali, Chairperson of the regional Assembly, appreciated the concerted efforts by the people and government institutions to rehabilitate victims of the volcano accident in Sireru and called for the strengthening of the ongoing regrouping of villages in Araeta sub-zone.
The Assembly discussed in depth the reports presented by branch offices of line ministries and adopted resolutions and recommendations that would help the implementation of programs for 2012 and called on citizens to reinforce their participation.
The members of the Assembly further pledged to strengthen efforts in organizing and leading people for the success of development programs in the region.
Mr. Ali Mahmud, Administrator of the region, explained that the regrouping of villages is for the benefit of the people and that the regional Administration would undertake follow-up for their implementation.
