Service-rendering institutions put in place in Tekawda, Gogne sub-zone are playing due role in improving the livelihood of the inhabitants, according to reports. Gogne, 1 March 2012 – Service-rendering institutions put in place in Tekawda, Gogne sub-zone are playing due role in improving the livelihood of the inhabitants, according to reports.

Members of the local inhabitants, Mr. Dawid Ibrahim and Mr. Abdala Ahmed indicated that their children are in a position to attend school inside their village, and that they have overcome leading nomadic lifestyle since they started regrouping themselves, and pledged to take good care of the institutions.

Similarly, Ms. Hawa Suleman explained that the health center now availabe in the sub-zone is providing good service, and that the death rate of infants and mothers has substantially been reduced.

The Administrator of the area, Mr. Suleiman Salih appreciated the Government’s efforts in expanding service-rendering institutions in remote areas, and indicated that the Elementary School, health center and the supply of potable water in the Administrative area are the outcome of such efforts.

Tekawda Administrative area is one of the 12 Admistrative areas of Gogne sub-zone, and there exist 4 villages and 14,000 inhabitants in that Administrative area.
