43rd SCSA-CSSA Executive Committee and Extraordinary General Assembly to convene in Asmara

The 43rd Supreme Council for Sport in Africa (SCSA-CSSA) Executive Committee and Extraordinary General Assembly to convene in Asmara from March 14 to 17, disclosed Maj. General Ramadan Osman Aweliai, Commissioner of Sports.

Asmara, 8March, 2012- The 43rd Supreme Council for Sport in Africa (SCSA-CSSA) Executive Committee and Extraordinary General Assembly to convene in Asmara from March 14 to 17, disclosed Maj. General Ramadan Osman Aweliai, Commissioner of Sports.

He explained that in the three- day conference 186 delegates from 54 countries that include ministers, invited guests as well as commissioners would participate.

According to the program of the conference, on March 14 and 15 a meeting would be conducted in which the executive committee members only would participate, while on the 17th all delegates would take part. Moreover, on the 16th a tour has been arranged to the historical and tourism sites in Asmara.

Maj. General Ramadan further explained that the necessary preparations have been made to host the conference and called on pertinent institutions to play their part for its success.

The SCSA was established in 1965 in Brazzaville, the Congolese capital, as “African Committee of Sports”, and the new name was given to it in 1976.
