Eritrean Core Well Drilling Company steps up effort in drilling and constructing water sources

The Eritrean Core Well Drilling Company is stepping up efforts in drilling water wells and constructing dams, disclosed Mr. Kibreab Tesfai, Manager of the company.

Asmara, 9 March 2012 – The Eritrean Core Well Drilling Company is stepping up efforts in drilling water wells and constructing dams, disclosed Mr. Kibreab Tesfai, Manager of the company.

He indicated that for the last 15 years the company has been engaged in solving water demand of citizens and that 75% of the Eritrean people have now become beneficiaries of potable water. He also said that the company conducts drilling activities even in remote areas of the country besides performing maintenance activities.

Mr. Kibreab further underlined that at a time when mining activity is gaining momentum in the country it is vital that the company put in place the required mechanism so that it effectively participates in the process.

The Eritrean Core Well Drilling Company which began activity during the armed struggle for independence is a national company engaged in drilling water wells, building of bridges and dams and other activities.
