Hamelmalo College of Agriculture which was providing degree and diploma education programs will begin masters program in the near future, explained Mr. Semere Amlesom, Dean of the college.
Hamelmalo, 17 March 2012- Hamelmalo College of Agriculture which was providing degree and diploma education programs will begin masters program in the near future, explained Mr. Semere Amlesom, Dean of the college.
He noted that education would be given to degree graduates who are already working in different places in four disciplines. He also indicated that the curriculum has already been designed, instructors ready and a two- storey building for laboratory and classrooms is under construction.
He further explained that the College is working to produce competitive professionals by strengthening relations with foreign universities and exchanging experiences.
Mr. Semere said that the college is giving due attention to senior expatriate lecturers in order to strengthen the capacity of teachers. He also stated that 30 lecturers have already been sent abroad for higher education and that some of them are already here concluding their education.
The Dean further explained that the education being provided in the college has significant role to play in endeavors towards ensuring food security and that the graduates who are working in different workplaces are making commendable contribution.
Hamelmalo College of Agriculture in Anseba region was established in 2005 and has already graduated 1,500 students.
