Eritrean Electric Contractors and Consultants Association hold annual congress

The Eritrean Electric Contractors and Consultants Association held its annual congress on 17 March at the Chamber of Commerce here in Asmara. Asmara, 18 March 2012- The Eritrean Electric Contractors and Consultants Association held its annual congress on 17 March at the Chamber of Commerce here in Asmara.

During the congress, Mr. Tecklehaimanot Sletsion, Chairman of the Association, said that the Association has reactivated its activities with the inclusion of new members including those that had previously frozen their membership.

Noting that the electric distribution association is charged with monitoring proper installation of electricity in residential complexes and giving advice to faulty contractors, Mr. Tecklehamanot underlined that members of the association who fail to meet their due tax payments will be deprived of any legal rights.

Various recommendations were passed by owners of residential complexes during the congress among which included the need for effective and legal electric installation procedures.
