Seedlings planted on 23 hectares in Arbate Asmara are in good condition: says Area Administrator

90% of the 30,537 thousands seedlings planted on 23 hectares last year in Arbate Asmara, Central region, are in good condition, stated Mr. Abraham Teklehaimanot, Area Administrator.

Asmara, 23 March 2012- 90% of the 30,537 thousands seedlings planted on 23 hectares last year in Arbate Asmara, Central region, are in good condition, stated Mr. Abraham Teklehaimanot, Area Administrator.
He told ERINA that the eucalyptus, olive and gravilla trees planted on barren spots are in good condition and that the activity continues.

He further indicated that due to the special attention given to the area indigenous tree are growing and that the administration would continue its efforts.

He also explained that the reforestation activity would continue on specific places and called on inhabitants to reinforce participation in planting trees and making due follow-up.
