38 villages in Anseba region to receive electricity power supply

According to him, the program includes 11 villages in Keren sub-zone, 8 villages in Geleb sub-zone, 7 villages in Hamelmalo sub-zone, 6 villages in Habero sub-zone, 3 villages in Elabered sub-zone, 2 villages in Afabet sub-zone and one village in Hagaz sub-zone. He also indicated that already installation has begun in Aritai semi-urban center, Filfil, Fintik, Gelet, Kar-Obel, Dadu, Berkentia, Genfelom, Kun’e and Digi.

Eng. Zibui said that 12,066 electric meters are already in use in the region and that with the new project in which it would be applied in households, trade and agriculture 22, 880 electric meters would be installed and that constitutes 200% growth compared with the previous ones.

Appreciating the contribution being made by EDF members in the project, he explained that 8,692 medium and high voltage poles and 105 transformers are being installed.

From members of committee for electricity power installation to villages, Mr. Samuel Jawj and Mr. Mohammed-Nur Mohammed-Mahmoud said that the people are working hard for the success of the project and that the program would give impetus to the regrouping of villages.
