Hagaz, 29 March 2012 – The Administration of the elementary and junior school in Kermed, Hagaz sub-zone, has called on the pertinent bodies to put in place solar energy so that students may become beneficiaries of computer training.
Mr. Medhanie Mebrahtu, director of the school, said that thanks to the Government’s persistent efforts to put in place social service facilities, the school that serves students from Qar’owat, Tsehafa, Dembe-Adi-Tsegai, Kermed, Fikya-Brot, Ad’Omer and Shebeq, has ensured significant participation in education. He further indicated that formal request for solar energy facility has been made in order to attain more accomplishment.
He also explained that two elementary schools exist in Shebeq and Ad’Hamad while adult education stations are available in Kermed, Ad’Omer as well as Dembe-Zeratsion, and that the participation of women at junior level education has reached 55%.
Ms Senait Embaye and Mr. Semere Beyin, teachers in the sub-zone, expressed appreciation for the prevailing good relations between teachers and students in the locality.
