Mai-Mine sub-zone: inhabitants promise to reinforce development efforts

The inhabitants of Mai-Mine sub-zone expressed readiness to reinforce efforts for the implementation of the 2012 development plans of the sub-zone on the set time. Mai-mine, 30 March 2012 – The inhabitants of Mai-Mine sub-zone expressed readiness to reinforce efforts for the implementation of the 2012 development plans of the sub-zone on the set time.

Mr. Abraham Hagos, Administrator of the sub-zone, pointed out that the plans under implementation in the locality are eradication of illiteracy, establishment of community wood enclosures, vegetable and green feed farming as well as the construction of school fences and teachers’ residential houses.

Mr. Abraham also explained that the inhabitants have been instructed to grow 20 trees each. Based on this plan, 500,000 seedlings have already been made ready and each village has reserved 50 hectares for enclosure.

Meanwhile, vegetables and fruits farmers are showing better performance as regards introducing animal feed
