Logo-Anseba, 31 March 2012 – Mr. Ahmed Osman Firuj, Administrator of Logo-Anseba sub-zone, called on the inhabitants of Liban Administrative area to practice judicious use of the available social service facilities and take good care of their environment.
In a meeting he held with the community members, he stated that the educational, health and transport facilities put in place in the Administrative area are making significant contribution to the community and that the inhabitants should practice hygienic use of latrines.
Mr. Teklom Yebio, head of the Health Ministry’s branch in Gash-Barka region, indicated that various activities are underway to raise the awareness of the community in preserving the environment and that several effective tasks have been accomplished in this respect in the remote villages of the sub-zone.
The inhabitants on their part stated that the Government has already made remedies to the basic shortcomings of medical service supplies that prevailed in the locality, while efforts in environmental sanitation are meant to supplement endeavours to safeguard the community’s wellbeing.
