Eritrean Nurses Association holds 15th annual meeting

The Association of Eritrean Nurses held its 15th annual meeting at Orotta National Referral Hospital hall.

Asmara, 2 April 2012- The Association of Eritrean Nurses held its 15th annual meeting at Orotta National Referral Hospital hall.

Mr. Mengisteab Gaim, Chairman of the Association, explained in a speech he delivered on the occasion that the Association has been working vigorously in filling the occurred gaps and providing better services in the past two years. According to him, the Association made a considerable work in upgrading the capacity of its members.

Mr. Mengisteab also stated that the profession of nursing is a significant pre-requisite in ensuring adequate medical services and that Eritrean nurses should keep their promise to serve the society through their profession and develop their skiil.

Mr. Mehari Woldu, legal advisor in the Ministry of Health, also called on new nurses to follow the foot steps of the senior nurses and upgrade their skill.

The participants conducted extensive discussion on the reports presented by various medical professionals elected new committee members.

The Eritrean Nurses Association which was established in 1992 has more than 650 members.
