Customers in Massawa called on owners of service-rendering institutions to expand their activities and ensure standardized services so as to make the city appealing to tourists. Massawa, 6 April 2012 – Customers in Massawa called on owners of service-rendering institutions to expand their activities and ensure standardized services so as to make the city appealing to tourists.
Among the residents, Mr. Berhane Ghebreselasie, Dr. Berhane Keleta and Mr. Berhane Arefaine, indicated that the port city has registered all-round progress and that standardization of services by such institutions should be seen as a pre-requisite in expanding tourism in the country. They also notified that the institutions should emphasize on hospitality and better supplies.
The residents expressed conviction that significant infrastructural activities have already been carried out in the port city and that additional attention should be given to historical sites and artifacts in the area by concerned government bodies.
Ms. Yerusalem Habtom and Ms. Eden Yohannes, employees in service-rendering businesses, stated that the training given to them by their organizations has significantly helped them in their work, and called on tourism-concerned organizations in Massawa to further target hospitality and standardized supply.
