In a meeting they conducted with Ms. Tsigereda Woldegiorgis, Administrator of Northern Red Sea region, the inhabitants of Umele administrative area, Foro sub-zone, expressed that the Kohaito-Foro road which is under construction is bringing basic change in their daily life. Umele, 8 April 2012- In a meeting they conducted with Ms. Tsigereda Woldegiorgis, Administrator of Northern Red Sea region, the inhabitants of Umele administrative area, Foro sub-zone, expressed that the Kohaito-Foro road which is under construction is bringing basic change in their daily life.
They said that because of the area being isolated and they live scattered way of life they were unable to smoothly conducted their daily activities and that the construction of the road is part of the effort to ensure social justice.
They further said that the construction of the road is contributing to the regrouping of villages and that the remaining ones are ready follow their foot steps.
The Administrator of Northern Red Sea region on her part noted that many villages are taking the initiative for regrouping and that social service rendering institutions and especially water and health services would be put in place. She also reminded the inhabitants to preserve indigenous trees from extinction.
