Mensura, 11 April 2012 – Students in Mensura sub-zone explained on the occasion of Student Week that further focus should be given to school activities as they are a stepping stone to nurture competence and creativity.
The students from 10 Administrative areas of the sub-zone had carried out handicraft exhibition, schools’ fair and sport activities on the occasion.
Mr. Mahmoud Idris, head of the schools in the sub-zone, stated that the occasion reflected the overall potential of the students and that such activity should be further encouraged so as to create conducive ground for the task of shaping students’ vision.
The students on their part expressed confidence that they would work hard to upgrade their competence and creativity based on the advices and peer influences they were exposed to during the occasion.
Similarly, students in She’ib-Mensheb explained that they acquired considerable experience from their peers in such activities conducted at sub-zone level.
Osman Seid, who participated in handicraft fair during the occasion, and Meryem Jabir indicated that activities promoted through Student Week help the young generation to inherit cultural and national values.
Mr. Ismael Saleh, director of She’ib-Mensheb Secondary School, called on the students to develop competence in applying technological knowhow so as to ensure a bright future for themselves.
