The construction of a high school is underway in Mensura in line with the program of expanding the participation of the youth there in education. Mensura, 12 April, 2012 – The construction of a high school is underway in Mensura in line with the program of expanding the participation of the youth there in education.

Mr. Daud Fegi, Administrator of the semi-urban center, explained that the school is expected to start rendering service in the next academic year and improve participation of students in education to the desired level.

Meanwhile, the Administrator said that high school students in the locality have been going through remarkable challenge as they have been learning in Agordat, Hagaz, Nakfa and other places, and that female participation in education is expected to grow in the coming year with the opening of the new high school.

Among the inhabitants, Mr. Mohammed Abdalla Adem and Mr. Mohammed Omer Mohammed Hajjaj, expressed conviction that the high school would facilitate the teaching – learning process.

Ms. Asha Mahmoud, who asserted that lack of high school in the locality has been a visible quandary in the life of students, expressed confidence that student participation in education would by significantly far increase by next year, especially that of females.
