The inhabitants of Geza-Lamza Administrative area, Debarwa sub-zone, have been engaged in soil and water conservation activities before the rainy season starts. Mr. Gebrehiwet Fisehaye pointed out that the campaign focused on the recovery of eroded lands and commended the active participation demonstrated by the inhabitants.
Out of the participants, Ms. Wagaye Afwerki and Mr. Melake Rusom, said that the community is working zealously for the effective implementation of the program as it has acquired sufficient awareness as regards boosting production through soil and water conservation.
Mr. Habteab Siyum, agrocultural technique expert in Debarwa sub-zone, expressed conviction that the inhabitants of the sub-zone have been well-experienced in implementing soil and water conservation devices. He also lauded endeavors by the farmers in Torat, Adi-Kubulo, Adi-Watot and Amadr in preparing and making fertilization input to their farm lands.
