He told ERINA that 54 quintals of corn and 50 quintals of tomato per hectare as well as abundant vegetables have been produced and that farmers are reinforcing their efforts encouraged by the produce they collected.

Among the farmers, Ms. Abeba Gebrehiwot expressing her satisfaction for being able to produce yield three times per year said that they are contributing their part in satisfying the market demand in their area.

Farmer Mebrahtom Goitom on his part said that they understood the importance of modern agriculture through the yield they produce in the two stages of cultivation and that their livelihood is improving.

The modern agricultural project of Somomo was established in April 2010 at a cost of 10 million Nakfa and was distributed to 300 women and disadvantaged national by the Ministry of Agriculture Adi-Quala branch office.
