Workers in Southern region express readiness to boost production

Workers in various production establishments in the Southern region expressed readiness to boost production. Mendefera, 26 April, 2012 – Workers in various production establishments in the Southern region expressed readiness to boost production.

Ms. Hayat Seid, an employee of Arag Textile Factory in Mendefera, indicated that she is in a position to meet the financial needs of her family, and expressed conviction that work is a dignifying factor through which high moral satisfaction is acquired.

Ms. Awet Gebru equally expressed conviction that her status as a bread winner has enhanced her self-confidence and psychic satisfaction.

Mr. Tekeste Mehretab, head of the NCEW’s branch in the region, explained that the value of work and workers themselves is being bequeathed as a legacy of noble culture to future generations, and called for increased attention by citizens to job creation.

NCEW reports indicate that 20 factories in the Southern region have created job opportunities for a total of 3,000 people.
