The inhabitants of Tsnieto village, Debarwa sub-zone, are engaged in a campaign of backing up endeavors to promote electricity service in the locality.

Debarwa, 27 April 2012 – The inhabitants of Tsnieto village, Debarwa sub-zone, are engaged in a campaign of backing up endeavors to promote electricity service in the locality.

Mr. Mehari Estifanos, Administrator of the village, indicated that the inhabitants have been transporting poles on shoulders and by animals to places cars cannot reach.

Among the inhabitants, Mr. Tsegai Teklehaimanot and Ms. Tabotu Gebriel, lauded the Government’s commitment to create the basis of development for remote areas through electricity supply.

Mr. Kibrom Temesgen, coordinator of the campaign, commended the community’s active participation and their spirit of harmony. He also indicated that the task to erect electricity poles to the villages of Adi-Nekuo, Adi-Hizbai, Adi-Bezhans, Adi-Kuniel and Tsnieto has already been accomplished, and that similar task would soon target Adi-Harbo, Cha’at, Deqotsna, Adi-Belih, Edaga-Adhna, Amadr and Hrgud.

Tsnieto village is located 15 Km. west of Debarwa town.
