Asmara, 29 April 2012- The Eritrean national blood transfusion trained to 88 students who came from different line ministries, colleges, high schools as well as from government and non-government institutions regarding blood transfusion .
Mr. Kibreab Gebru, member of agitation unit at the institution, explained that the training was focused on daily blood contribution and its significance, the present status of the institution and the challenges it is facing as well as other related topics.
He further indicated that the training was aimed at alleviating shortage of blood in the institution and that it would help in raising the awareness of the public and importance of blood contribution.
Ms. Lemlem Gebreyesus, member of Cultural Affairs of PFDJ, said that to date there is no one who doesn’t understand the significance of blood contribution, and that she would transfer the knowledge she gained from the training to others.
Mr. Semere Afwerki and Mr. Ibrahim Abdalla on their part indicated that the objective of blood donation is to save life and that they would fulfill their expectations for the success of the objective they were trained for.
