Remarkable outcome being witnessed in Molober upon introduction of irrigation farming

The inhabitants of Molober Administrative area who are carrying out farming activities along the river banks of Homib expressed conviction that irrigation-enhanced production has improved their livelihood in line with the available social service facilities in the area. Molober, 30 April  2012 – The inhabitants of Molober Administrative area who are carrying out farming activities along the river banks of Homib expressed conviction that irrigation-enhanced production has improved their livelihood in line with the available social service facilities in the area.

Mr. Isa Meni, Administrator of the locality, explained that the community used to lead nomadic style of living before schools up to junior level, potable water supply, and health facilities were made available to them. He further explained that the inhabitants have acquired vital experience in irrigation farming paralleled with the advisory role of agriculture experts in the locality.

Out of the inhabitants, Mr. Idris Hamd and Ali Tahir, expressed satisfaction with the existing social service facilities in the locality and stated that the considerable portion of the community has demonstrated proficiency in irrigation farming.

There exist 97 vegetable farm lands in the Administrative area, through the produce of which the demands in the locality and areas in the vicinity could be met, Mr Isa added.
