Northern Red Sea region: Youth workers express resolve to back up national development drive

Youth workers in Massawa sub-zone expressed resolve to back up the national development drive on the occasion of Youth Workers Week that was conducted in the port city of Massawa from April 30 to May 4 that featured various sports and cultural activities. Massawa, 9 May 2012 – Youth workers in Massawa sub-zone expressed resolve to back up the national development drive on the occasion of Youth Workers Week that was conducted in the port city of Massawa from April 30 to May 4 that featured various sports and cultural activities.

During the occasion, Mr. Ahmed Jaefer, head of the NUEYS branch in the region, called on all pertinent bodies to exert integrated endeavors as regards organization of youth workers as it is a basis for exchange of experience and upgrading professional capacity. He also indicated that the occasion was a stepping stone for the youths to take note of the prevailing strength among them and enhance their professional capability.

Among the participants, Mr. Amanuel Gebremedhin and Ms. Kedija Osman, expressed conviction that they have acquired remarkable experience from the event, and that they would continuously participate in such occasions.

Mr. Jemal Ali, head of the NUEYS branch in the sub-zone, asserted that the Youth Workers Week was successfully conducted in line with the efforts made to strengthen the participation of its members.
