Employees play significant role in reinforcement of Elabered Agricultural Estate

Elabered Agricultural Estate disclosed that employees are playing significant role in line with the endeavors made to raise production. Elabered, 10 May, 2012 – Elabered Agricultural Estate disclosed that employees are playing significant role in line with the endeavors made to raise production.

Mr. Atewebirhan Gebrat, head of human resources development, said that the Agricultural Estate has been registering all-round growth.

Mr. Mussa Adem, who worked in the Estate for 34 years, indicated that thanks to the initiative taken by the Anseba regional Administration, the farm is in a position to significantly boost its harvest. He further indicated that new investments have been made with a view to improving meat and dairy production, construction and renovation of infrastructures and building new dams, and that large-scale cultivation of fruits and vegetables as well as green feed is being given priority.

One of the residents of Elabered semi-urban center, Ms. Lucia Keleta, expressed conviction that the state farm has created considerable job opportunities in the area, and that its products are being sold in the local market at reasonable price.

Elabered Agricultural Estate has 400 employees.
