Women workers in Mendefera expressed resolve to back up endeavors being exerted to reinforce the national development drive. The women noted the virtue of steadfastness during a dinner they hosted for members of Debwin Construction Company engaged in the construction of offices and training center for women’s association. Mendefera, 17 May, 2012 – Women workers in Mendefera expressed resolve to back up endeavors being exerted to reinforce the national development drive. The women noted the virtue of steadfastness during a dinner they hosted for members of Debwin Construction Company engaged in the construction of offices and training center for women’s association.

Mr. Solomon Andemariam, staff members of the construction company who is participating in the task, commended women’s role in stimulating the accomplishment of the undertaking.

Ms. Luchia Woldemariam from the Health Ministry explained that demonstrating such motivational gesture is an Eritrean norm, and that the input being made by the members of the construction company far exceeds the contribution being made by the local inhabitants.

Mr. Beyene Mebrahtu and Ms. Tiblets Woldelibanos, staff members of the construction company, commended the initiative taken by the women and expressed conviction that it has reactivated the spirit of work among fellow workers.

Ms. Alganesh Kidane, head of the Ministry of Trade and Industry’s branch in the region, said that the building is reaching finalization thanks to the virtue of fortitude of the people engaged in the task.

Reports indicated that the construction of the building which would accommodate the NUEW’s branch office and women’s training center was made possible through a 23-million-Nakfa-donation by the Association members residing in the UK.
