President opens Exhibition portraying Independence Struggle

President Isaias Afwerki today opened an exhibition portraying the history of the armed struggle for independence.

Asmara, 21 May 2012 – President Isaias Afwerki today opened an exhibition portraying the history of the armed struggle for independence.

The exhibition at Bahti Meskerem Square depicts life in the days of the armed struggle. It comprises pictures and equipments depicting the preparations to foil enemy military campaigns, liberation of towns and cities, lifestyle of the freedom fighters, the activities in military training centers and the information unit, as well as the steadfastness of the Eritrean people, among others.
