World leaders send letters of congratulations in connection with Independence Day anniversary

King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdul-Aziz of Saudi Arabia, President Joachim Gauck of Germany, Jean Ping, Chairman of the Commission of the AU, and Ms. Quentin Bryce AC, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, sent letters of congratulations to the people and government of Eritrea in connection with Independence Day Anniversary.

Asmara, 20 May 2012 – King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdul-Aziz of Saudi Arabia, President Joachim Gauck of Germany, Jean Ping, Chairman of the Commission of the AU, and Ms. Quentin Bryce AC, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, sent letters of congratulations to the people and government of Eritrea in connection with Independence Day Anniversary.

The state leaders and dignitaries wished good health to President Isaias Afwerki and peace and prosperity to the Eritrean people.

In her message, the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia underlined that the relationship between the two countries is based on historical and people-to-people links, and that Australia would continue engaging in mutual cooperation with Eritrea in health and mining activities.
