Messages of congratulations continue

President Hu Jintao of China and Mr. Najib Mikati, President of the Lebanese Council of Ministers, sent messages of congratulations to the people and Government of Eritrea on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of Independence Day. Asmara, 22 May 2012 – President Hu Jintao of China and Mr. Najib Mikati, President of the Lebanese Council of Ministers, sent messages of congratulations to the people and Government of Eritrea on the occasion of the 21st anniversary of Independence Day.

The leaders wished President Isaias good health, as well as peace and prosperity to the Eritrean people.

In his message, the President of China voiced appreciation for the economic progress Eritrea has registered under the leadership of President Isaias and in line with the policy of self-reliance. He further noted that the PRC attaches great importance to Sino-Eritrean relations and wishes to work jointly towards raising relations and cooperation.

President Hu Jintao also noted that in recent years Eritrea and China have witnessed sound momentum of development, and that bilateral cooperation in various domains has gained momentum.
