The 21st Independence Day anniversary has been celebrated in the Northern Red Sea region. Speaking at the ceremony that was held in Gelalo at regional level, Ms. Tsigereda Woldegiorgis, the regional Administrator, underlined that the historic Day is being celebrated at a time when the nation is looking forward to a bright future, and that the accomplishments already registered pursuing the set goal of national development are a spring board to the improvement of the citizens’ standard of living. Massawa, 22 May 2012 – The 21st Independence Day anniversary has been celebrated in the Northern Red Sea region. Speaking at the ceremony that was held in Gelalo at regional level, Ms. Tsigereda Woldegiorgis, the regional Administrator, underlined that the historic Day is being celebrated at a time when the nation is looking forward to a bright future, and that the accomplishments already registered pursuing the set goal of national development are a spring board to the improvement of the citizens’ standard of living.
Similarly, Mr. Idris Saleh, head of political affairs department at the PFDJ’s regional office, explained that the investment made by the Eritrean people and their leadership pursuing the deep conviction of self-reliance would result in all-round progress and prosperity.
Mr. Hamd Mohammed Ali, Administrator of Gelalo sub-zone, explained that the steadfastness of the Eritrean people against enemy quarters is historical and commended the active participation of the local inhabitants in organizing the event.
