Barentu, 28 May 2012 – The inhabitants of Gash-Barka region expressed conviction that the colorful celebrations of the 21st Independence Day anniversary attest to the prevailing harmony among them. Indicating that the Day was celebrated at sub-zonal and regional level, they said that popular resolve against external conspiracies is on the rise.

Out of the inhabitants, Mr. Yusuf Ali Musa and Ms. Asmeret Tsegai, asserted that the Eritrean people have always been on the vanguard of the nation’s independence and expressed satisfaction with the manner the great event was celebrated in the region.

Mr. Yunus Adem, Ms. Asha Mohammed and Mr. Zecarias Amanuel equally voiced satisfaction with the colorful Independence Day celebrations in the region and asserted that the event attests to the prevailing harmony among the local inhabitants.

Likewise, Mr. Siraj Beyan, Mr. Hamd Ambo and Mr. Idris Mohammed said that development accomplishments in the region have played significant role in improving their livelihood.
