Awenjeli inhabitants renovate road to their village

The inhabitants of Awenjeli village, Hagaz sub-zone, are engaged in a popular campaign to renovate the road to their village which has been causing difficulty in transportation. Hagaz, 30 May 2012 –The inhabitants of Awenjeli village, Hagaz sub-zone, are engaged in a popular campaign to renovate the road to their village which has been causing difficulty in transportation.

Among the inhabitants, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, Mr. Mohammed Idris and Mr. Gebre Kifle indicated that satisfactory progress has been registered, and that the community would be engaged in community-based soil and water conservation undertakings.

Ms. Sherifa Adem Mohammed and Mr. Mohammed Idris lauded the Government’s commitment to ensure even distribution of social service in all corners of the country, and said that the community has demonstrated active participation in the popular undertaking.

Mr. Ibrahim Jimi’i Mohammed from the area administration office explained that the inhabitants have so far renovated 3 Km-long road through daily mobilizing a total of 300 manpower. He further indicated that such undertakings would be carried out by the community in line with the objective of assisting needy families, construction of terraces, water catchments and diversion canals.

Awenjeli village, located 6 Km south of Hagaz semi-urban center, is one of the 16 Area administration centers in the sub-zone.
