Inhabitants of rural areas in Hagaz sub-zone express satisfaction with social service facilities

The inhabitants of rural areas in Hagaz sub-zone voiced satisfaction with the available social service facilities. They further indicated that the availability of such facilities has enabled them to save time and energy, and that resort to community-based lifestyle played significant role in ensuring effective use of the available facilities.

Hagaz, 1 June 2012 – The inhabitants of rural areas in Hagaz sub-zone voiced satisfaction with the available social service facilities. They further indicated that the availability of such facilities has enabled them to save time and energy, and that resort to community-based lifestyle played significant role in ensuring effective use of the available facilities.

Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim, head of social service department in the sub-zonal Administration, explained that 80% of the local inhabitants are leading community-based lifestyle, and that endeavors would be exerted to advance a similar pattern of living in the remaining villages of Idamr Administrative area. He further pointed out that a total of 26 schools are rendering service in 15 Administrative areas of the sub-zone, and that the inhabitants of Hagaz,

Ashera, Gilas and Hashferai have already become beneficiaries of reliable water supply and 24-hour electricity supply.

One of the inhabitants, Ms. Meyda Omar, lauded the Government’s commitment to improve the livelihood of citizens, and called on the local inhabitants to practice judicious utilization of the available social service facilities.

Indicating that community-based style of living is the basis for rural development, Mr. Mohammed Musa Hamd, Administrator of Hashishai Administrative area, said that the upgrading of livelihood for the inhabitants is exemplary.
