Junior and Elementary School opens in Himbol-Kechech Administrative area

The Education Ministry’s branch in Kerkebet sub-zone indicated that Junior and Elementary School has opened in Himbol-Kechech Administrative area. Kerkebet, 2 June 2012 – The Education Ministry’s branch in Kerkebet sub-zone indicated that Junior and Elementary School has opened in Himbol-Kechech Administrative area.

Mr. Ibrahim Ekud Ibrahim, head of the branch office, said that the task was accomplished through a 6-million Nakfa investment, and that it has ensured conducive environment for the teaching-learning process.

Mr. Idris Mohammed Omar, Administrator of the locality, pointed out that the schools is expected to play vital role as regards promoting community-based style of living and female participation in education.

Among the inhabitants, Mr. Ismael Ahmed and Mr. Adem Mohammed Adem, expressed conviction that children in the locality are enjoying better educational opportunity, and said that they would make judicious utilization of the educational facility.

The school comprises 12 class rooms, offices, library, teachers’ residence, toilets and potable water supply facility.
