The inhabitants of Habero-Tselim and Mezret administrative areas as the result of the continuous awareness campaigns conducted are reinforcing activities in controlling communicable diseases. Habero-Tselim, 3 June 2012- The inhabitants of Habero-Tselim and Mezret administrative areas as the result of the continuous awareness campaigns conducted are reinforcing activities in controlling communicable diseases.

The inhabitants of the two administrative areas have been able to reduce the prevalence of communicable diseases due to lack of sanitation through conducting community led sanitation programs and building latrines in every household.

Mr. Habteselasie Yohannes, head of community sanitation in the Ministry of Health Anseba branch, indicated that 68 villages have built latrines and have ensured environmental sanitation and their health.

Likewise Mr. Mensur Abubeker, head of the health center in Habero-Tsaeda, explained that the awareness of people on health related issues is increasing and appreciated the health care being taken towards mothers and children.

He further reminded the inhabitants to reinforce participation on the outlined health programs and immediately report on any prevalence of communicable disease.
