Inhabitants of Hagaz sub-zone express satisfaction with work of community magistrate in the locality

The inhabitants of various Administrative areas in Hagaz sub-zone expressed satisfaction with the work of community magistrate in the locality. The inhabitants asserted that their legal cases used to be addressed in Keren and Asmara, and that the availability of the new institution in the area has enabled them save time and energy.

Hagaz, 4 June 2012 – The inhabitants of various Administrative areas in Hagaz sub-zone expressed satisfaction with the work of community magistrate in the locality. The inhabitants asserted that their legal cases used to be addressed in Keren and Asmara, and that the availability of the new institution in the area has enabled them save time and energy.

Mr. Mohammed Idris Jimi’e and Mr. Osman Mohammed, inhabitants of Enchinaq and Ad-Fakai Administrative areas respectively, lauded the Government’s commitment to bridge the gap between urban and rural areas. Likewise, Mr. Abubeker Mohammed and Ms. Hasina Yasin voiced satisfaction with the new legal practice.

Mr. Mohammedkier Omar, a Judge there, said that the new practice is making it possible for the local inhabitants to have their cases forwarded to community magistrates operating in the Administrative areas of Shebeq, Glas, Ashera, Awenjali, Adalet, Harnet and Hashishai. He further indicated that out of 331 legal cases duly addressed last year in the locality, 290 of them could be settled and 41 others are pending resolution.
