Explaining that the business began in 1991 in a confined shop and with limited resources, Mr. Abdel-Awel Mohammed Birhan, manager of the factory, indicated that it has been registering noticeable organizational growth since 2,000 in line with the prevailing conducive business environment in the country.
Asmara, 7 June, 2012 – Sam Garment Factory said that it is in a position of manufacturing good quality products. Explaining that the business began in 1991 in a confined shop and with limited resources, Mr. Abdel-Awel Mohammed Birhan, manager of the factory, indicated that it has been registering noticeable organizational growth since 2,000 in line with the prevailing conducive business environment in the country.
The company is engaged in the production of various uniforms, aprons and suits to meet local demand quality and quantity wise. It would soon start producing Jeans pants and children’s outfits, besides conducting research to initiate export, he added.
Mr. Tesfamichael Negash, head of designs department stated that the company has managed to lay emphasis on quality in line with the introduction of modern technology in the production process. Both of them also expressed conviction that innovation of such technology with focus on youths is vital for sustainability of organizational success.
Among the employees of the factory, Mr. Michael Yemane, Ms. Mitslal Gidei and Ms. Fiori Beyene, equally expressed conviction that the company’s investment in human resource development is one of the secrets of its success.
Sam Garment Factory has created job opportunities for 60 persons, 40 of whom are women.
