Student Festival has been conducted in Barentu city at regional level. Reports indicated that cultural, sports and other activities featured in the event.

Barentu, 8 June 2012 – Student Festival has been conducted in Barentu city at regional level. Reports indicated that cultural, sports and other activities featured in the event.

Indicating that students from all sub-zones demonstrated active participation, Ms. Nejat Adem, coordinator of the event, said that impressive creativities featured in various contests.

Mr. Mohammed-Ali Ibrahim, head of the Education Ministry’s branch in the region, called on students to secure their future through effective use of the available conducive educational environment. He further called for teachers in the region to strengthen their efforts at a time when the country is going through challenges resulting from hostile acts on the part of enemy quarters.

Mr. Mohammed-Ali further called on Administrative offices and other pertinent bodies to exert integrated endeavors towards fostering educational excellence.

Students who demonstrated outstanding performances in the contests received awards at the end of the Student Festival.
