Community rehabilitation workers in Hagaz accomplish commendable task in supporting the Disabled

The Administration of Hagaz sub-zone said that community rehabilitation workers in the locality have made commendable accomplishment in supporting disabled nationals. It made the disclosure on the occasion of an assessment meeting conducted there. Hagaz, 9 June 2012 – The Administration of Hagaz sub-zone said that community rehabilitation workers in the locality have made commendable accomplishment in supporting disabled nationals. It made the disclosure on the occasion of an assessment meeting conducted there.

The meeting further noted that several residents of the locality who had mental disorder have witnessed recovery thanks to the active involvement of community rehabilitation workers, and that the rehabilitated citizens are in a position to actively participate in educational and other socio-economic activities.

Commending the active role played by the rehabilitation workers, Mr. Idris Mohammed, Administrator of the sub-zone, called on them to work in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and put up increased efforts in the discharge of their tasks.

Ms. Genet Habte, head of the Ministry of Labor and Human Welfare’s branch in the locality, lauded the compassionate role of the community rehabilitation workers and said that the Ministry would as ever work with them. The community rehabilitation workers on their part asserted that they would work with in an integrated manner.

There are 84 community rehabilitation workers in Hagaz sub-zone since 2004, according to reports.
