The Administration of Wina Technical School, Nakfa, indicated that additional fields of study have been introduced upon enhancement of workshops through introduction of new machinery.
Nakfa, 14 June 2012 – The Administration of Wina Technical School, Nakfa, indicated that additional fields of study have been introduced upon enhancement of workshops through introduction of new machinery.
Explaining that the school has been making significant investments to attain high-quality service and extend the number of fields of study, Mr. Kaleab Zeru, Director of the school, said that wood and metal workshops have been reinforced, and indicated that the number of foreign teachers is on the decline as a number of competitive Eritrean teachers are being assigned in the school.
Computer and surveying courses are also being given, in addition to the existing fields such as woodworks, metalwork, electricity, construction and mechanics, he added.
Mr. Mohammed Birhan Siraj, head of administration and finance in the school, disclosed that more than 5 million Nakfa budget is annually allotted to the school, and that its infrastructural capacity has been extended through construction tasks accomplished in two phases.
The students on their part indicated that the teaching-learning process in the school involves practical approach, and that they have played remarkable role in the construction of new schools within the master plan of Tsabra and Nakfa.
