Halhale Institute of Agricultural Research on 14 June graduated 91 students in natural resources, animal studies and horticulture. Halhale, 16 June 2012- Halhale Institute of Agricultural Research on 14 June graduated 91 students in natural resources, animal studies and horticulture.
On the occasion, Mr. Abraha Gebremeskel, director of human resources in the Ministry of Agriculture, indicated that human resource development is the basis for development, and that so far 300 thousand farmers have recieved training aimed at ensuring food security through raising the capacity of the farming community.
From the graduates, Tihan Abdu and Feshatsion Negasi expressed readiness to upgrade the professional training they obtained through practical work and that they would strive to attain higher level.
Ms. Letebrhan Haile from parents of the graduates voiced appreciation to the Government’s efforts of providing the youth the opportunity of higher education.
Mr. Hirui Asgedom, director general of General Extension in the Ministry of Agriculture, handed certificates to the graduates, and said that upon follow-up of the graduates’ practical performance for 40 days, they would continue studies from diploma to degree level.
