Martyrs Day was commemorated with patriotic fervor in the US cities of Denver, Charlotte and Philadelphia, as well as Australia and New Zealand. The events featured candle light parades and various other activities, Reports indicated.

The Eritrean community members in Denver City, expressed conviction that the commemoration of the Day involves figuring out the heavy sacrifice paid by the Eritrean people to achieve freedom. They also voiced readiness to support families of fallen heroes.

Such a great event is a good basis to nurture national values in the minds of the youths, the Eritrean community members in Philadelphia City renewed their pledge to honor the trust of the fallen heroes.

Similarly, the Eritrean community members in Charlotte City, North Carolina, said that the reward of our martyrdom is a prosperous and dignified nation, and asserted that they would work hard for the realization of the cherished goal.

In the event conducted in Melbourne City by the Eritrean community members in Australia and New Zealand, the citizens explained that the Day is an occasion to renew their pledge of honoring the trust of fallen heroes. They further indicated that they would enhance contribution in support of families of martyrs.

Reports indicated that youths and children demonstrated active participation in all the events.
