Tesenei sub-zone: Families of martyrs witnessing improvement of livelihood in line with support extended by the people and the Government

Families of martyrs in Tesenei sub-zone said that they are in a position to improve their livelihood in line with the support being extended by the people and the Government. They made the remark during a meeting conducted to assess the rehabilitation scheme of families of fallen heroes. Tesenei, 20 June 2012 – Families of martyrs in Tesenei sub-zone said that they are in a position to improve their livelihood in line with the support being extended by the people and the Government. They made the remark during a meeting conducted to assess the rehabilitation scheme of families of fallen heroes.

It was noted in a report presented at the meeting that those rehabilitated through carriages, cafeterias and shops have become self-reliant, and that there is a plan to further extend support to those rehabilitated by way of herds. Mr. Teklebirhan Gebrewold, Administrator of the sub-zone, stated that 80% of the families have attained the desired level of livelihood improvement, and that the support would continue till all families achieve consistent improvement of livelihood.

Mr. Michael Tekleawalom, chairman of the program for rehabilitation of families of martyrs in the sub-zone, indicated that such support is consistent, and that the program in the future would focus on rehabilitation of families of martyrs on the basis of businesses.

Mr. Teklebirhan called on the local inhabitants to enhance their support to families of fallen heroes.
